Test Manager


Location: Seattle/Tacoma WA


This position provides test management services to support the entire lifecycle of project testing phases. Includes setup of environments, test data, scripts, traceability to requirements/benefits and test reporting.  Additionally, these services will require strong facilitation and communication skills Рproviding updates to project teams, stakeholders and upper management.


Minimum qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated capability of establishing test environments including testing data preparation, management and development of test cases/scripts, linking requirements to test cases
  • Knowledge of testing gate approval processes and able to share updates, request approvals to project teams, stakeholders and key management
  • Experience with testing defect and bug management
  • Ability to work directly with project team and 3rd party vendors
  • Exposure to various project management methodologies; Waterfall, Agile, Scrum
  • Capable of developing various project testing artifacts; test strategy plans, test closure reports, test updates
  • Ability to lead test team calls; facilitating and prioritizing testing status, issues
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working directly with project managers, communicating testing status and issues
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

In addition, the following qualifications are strongly preferred:

  • Utility experience, particularly power and water utilities
  • Experience with the Hewlett Packard Quality Control (HPQC) testing tool
